 Thank you for stopping by...I really do appreciate the time you're taking to visit and look around. Although I manage an office by day, my heart is filled with art of many forms. I enjoy art. It relaxes me. It helps me to think and reflect on the important things in life...well, until creativity totally sweeps me away into total focus. I sort of got into jewelry making one day when I wanted to learn to make earrings for myself. And somehow learning to make earrings turned into learning to make bracelets and necklaces. Before long, I was creating pieces as gifts for family and close friends. I then started taking courses at the local college to learn metalsmithing techniques such as hammering, texturing, cutting and soldering metals together. Now, three years later, it has become a never-ending world of designing special, unique, and colorful pieces of jewelry. I find when I design pieces, whether with metals or beads or both, my mind is taken into a place of total relaxation without any interruptions of mind-boggling thoughts. Total peace. Total calm and soundless quiet, hushed and warmly tucked away in the essence of creativity. Since I practically live in an office during the day when there's noise, chatter, phone ringing, people coming and going, I never thought I would find the joy of silence in creativity, but I did. It's definitely a gift. I always think and hope that whoever takes the time to admire any of my pieces will go away knowing how much love, effort, and inspiration went into making every single one...ahh...and that is my short, short story. *smiling* |
